Rehearsals for Hartsville Community Chorus are held on Tuesday evenings 6-7:30pm in the sanctuary of West Hartsville Baptist Church Chorus. Rehearsals for the Spring Concert will begin on January 10th at 6 p.m. at West Hartsville Baptist Church is located at 1003 West Carolina Ave, Hartsville.
The Children’s Chorale (Grades 3-8) is proud to welcome Mary Elise Wallace as our new director. Rehearsals for the Spring Concert will begin on February 21st at 5 p.m. in the choir room at West Hartsville Baptist Church is located at 1003 West Carolina Ave, Hartsville.
Singer’s dues are $15/person, $25/couple each semester, $10/student.
The Children’s Chorale is free but donations are accepted.
All vocalists participating in the Community Chorus should have at least an intermediate level of sight-reading ability in music. Soloists are generally selected (by audition) from the membership of the Chorus itself and may be required to attend additional rehearsals.
Beginners are welcome in the Children’s Chorale, however students should have both a desire to sing and a willingness to take direction and rehearse. That said, the Children’s Chorale is also a fun activity and children enjoy themselves and have time to socialize with other members.
